I hold a Master Peace Officer's License and an Instructor's Certificate from the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement.

My wife JoAnn and I own Certified 2 Serve, an internet education provider of TABC Seller/Server and Texas Food Handler training.
I am a Certified Fraud Examiner.

I have an undergraduate Diploma in Pastoral Theology from the University of St. Thomas, St. Mary's Seminary in Houston.
My Christian faith is very important to me. As a Deacon in my church, I have been involved in many different ministries. For the past 20 years, I have been involved in correctional ministry at the Fort Bend County Jail and the Wayne Scott Unit of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice-Institutional Division (TDCJ.)
